Default Newbie question: How to adjust ride height?

Just got a car that's already lowered by the previous owner with these mods:

-Koni Yellow Adjustible Shocks
-H&R Sport Springs

The thing is, I think the car is set too low lol, always seems to be hitting stuff like speed bump, and winter is coming up. Question is, how can I adjust the car's height, or more specifically, raise it up a bit? Is it something one person can do or should I get professionals to do this with alignment etc?

Thanks

get your car jacked up, then if you lift up the spring you should be able to twist something to do it, it really isnt that hard to do. id DEFINATLY get a friend to help

Your suspension setup isn't hight adjustable, only pressure adjustable. You'll have to get a set of sleeve cloilovers or different springs.

Wrong, and wrong. The Konis have an adjustable snap ring that the spring perch sits on. It's probably in the middle now, so you could move it up or down by an inch.

lucky civic owners...my Konis don't have that, but yea...those nice snap rings....just be careful as I've broken one of those rings once...

So basically this is what I have to do?

-remove wheels and jack car up
-try to fit spring compressor in and compress (cause I don't really want to remove the entire shock/suspension assembly, seems "risky")
-adjust the circlip and spring perch (where spring sits on?)
-release spring, wheel back on

But then I also need to get alignment done right? Which I guess I can't do myself.

good luck doing it with the struts on the car...that is uncomfortable and will take more time and busted knuckles than just taking the whole things off...it ain't that hard to do

I'm not sure if you'll need to compress the springs. They might be so short that you'll have enough slack. I think you'll need snap ring pliers to move the circlip.

Yea I'll definitely give it a try. Got to see what the current circlip setting is at.

Is it ok to reuse the circlips? I am not sure if they'll be fragile once I relocate them. I mean, the entire car is resting on these clips.

re-using the circlip should be fine. just be careful when taking it off and putting it back on. i would imagine adjusting it would be pretty difficult with the suspension still on the car. i guess it could be done but i'd much rather take everything apart. shouldnt take more than like 2hours start to finish if u've worked on it before.
