Rear Disc Problem
94' Honda Civic EX (112,000 miles) with rear disc brakes. Left rear locked up. Installed new brake pads, new caliper, and bled brakes. Inner pad surface contacts rotor evenly, but only half of outer pad rotor closest to the outer edge. Brake pedal grabs lower than original and you have to pull parking brake higher. Replaced with another new caliper again, installed new rotor, and made sure caliper floats easily on bolts. No change after 300 miles (with parking brake and brake pedal AND still exact partial contact on rotor). These parts came from Auto Zone. What could be the problem? Any advice would GREATLY be apreciated! Bip
Take a look at the bottom of this page:

With a single piston rotor, the innerrotor is contacted by the inner pad, first, as seen in the animation. Now take a look at the second page for suggestions about uneven pad wear.
