riml/tire size
I'm thinking about purcasing a 98 EX Civic Coupe with 115,000 miles on it. I was thinking of putting 16" rims with 225/45 tiresfrom tirerack.com. This is the only mod I at first. Also, what do I need to look for to make sure the car is not a "lemon" and when does it need the timing belt replaced. If soon, how much will it cost. Thanks in advance !!!
I'll just let you know that your probably going to rub that size of tires. I have a 92 Civic Hatch that has 225/50/15s and they rubbed. I had to stick some spring spacers in to fix it, but now my suspension is stiffer in the back. Just some FYI.
There too wide. They will rub like magic_mohawk stated. 225/45 bad IDEA >>> Go with the 205/45 and you should be fine they will tuck in real good and you won't have to worry of hitting the fenders or rubbing them on dips, bumps etc.....
