rims in winter?
okay i live in new york and here in ny it tends to snow a lot and w/e during the winter..neway im looking to buy a set of rims but my question to u is should u keep these rims on even in the winter in the snow or is it not worth getting them if u cant use them in the winter?
^haha yeah i don't think theres much snow now anymore...but to answer your question I would take them off...i always switch my rims off about late Oct early Nov and put my all weathers on for the winter and then put my rims back on in March...preserves the rims...you don't wanna be driving around with them in the snow, salt and other crap that is on the road!
If you live someplace in NY that just gets HAMMERED with snow, like upstate, I'd get some nice rims and summer tires for the Civic, and a mechanically-soundbeater 4cyl Wrangler with 31" Trxus MTs and solid recovery pointsfor the winter. Addon a 9000lb Warn winch if you live in the boonies. Park the Civic until the salt is gone in the spring.
