Default slicks

I need to get some slicks for my civic. I'm playing on using 14" steelies for them but I'm not sure how the tire sizes work for slicks (ie like I'm not sure if they work the same as regular tires 205/40/zr17) and I'm not sure a good place to get them from. If anyone who really knows about FWD slicks and can tell me what size to run and where to get them I would appreciate it.

the Nitto NT555Rs are pretty good, and come in the sizes youll need. and they are "legal" street compound. but dont cruise on them, they wont last long on the road.

i've been doing some searching and I think a 20x7 for either a 13 or 14 inch rim should fit fairly well

i still have stock civic brakes, my car came with 13s from the factory so I figured they'd be the best thing to use for straight up drag slicks. or do you think I should go to a 14 or 15 inch rim since I have a lot more power now then when the car was stock?

i would personally go with the shortest, widest tire i could get under the car. the shorter they are, the lower the effective gear ratios are, so youll get ou tof the hole and into the meat of your powerband quicker. but the lower your ratios, the easier the tires will spin (more torque to the ground) so get hugely wide tires.
