DAMN THAT SCARES ME I CANT AFFORD TO BE CARLESS IF THOSE BOLTS SNAP ON ME....Oh well only one way to find out right!!!!

...make sure when you borrow the spring compressor, that it is aftermarket spring compatible. The "hooks" on the OEM compressor they gave me didn't fit into my aftermarket springs.

I wouldnt exactly call it a "straight forward easy install," but I think if you're fairly handy with a wrench you can handle it. Read through THIS THREAD to get an idea of a common problem you're likely to run into.

Good luck!!!

are those the bolts that connect the rear lower tie bar? cant tell if thats it or not...i really hope that dosnt happen to me when i install my future suspension...
The bolts that got all f'ed up for ME, where the ones holding the strut to the LCA. For the originator of that post it was the bolt next to it

What bolts, washers, nuts, bushings, etc. are good to have on hand when doing a strut/spring change? I am guessing bolts and nuts may be as rusted as ones on an exhaust (from experience) that might have to be cut and replaced.

that's true RIT, rust will proabably have affected your bolts.

Best thing you can do as far as I'm concerned, is pick up a bottle of PB Blaster and soak the **** out of anything and everything that you plan to touch with a wrench. It'll loosen things up a little. Heat never hurts either. I spent 20 bucks on a more than sufficient torch at Autozone.

As far as which ones you should have... the ****ty part about that is that those are Honda Factory Parts. Kolhoznik posted in the thread that I liked you guys to above, and said that he has some on hand. As long as their the high grade bolts, those should work. he said you'd just have to pay shipping.

Worst case scenario, call your local stealership and have them stock up on the bolts/bushings holding the LCA to the Strut.
