Default Steering Wheel Adjustment

So tonight I had to change the combined switch (headlight switch and windshield wiper switch) and when I put everything back together I made sure to have my steering wheel lined up perfect. I got everything tightened down and checked again. Everything was still good so I took it for a drive and after I took a left corner, my steering wheel was turned to the left while I was going straight and if I turn it all the way to the right it will start to make a squeaking noise toward the end. I don't know what to do and I searched all over the forums. Any help is appreciated!
