Default Strut Bearing

I think this is what its called. the strut bearing, are those the ball bearings at the top the strut where it mounts to the car? In upgrading my suspension, i noticed that one only has 1/3 of the bearings. what should i do? can i get ball bearings or do i need to replace the assembly, or is it okay to just leave it and let it be? this is a 2002 civic ex, sedan.

Ohh, the strut mounts. My first response would be to just replace the whole assembly, but I just checked the parts catalog, and it looks like you can buy just the bearing...

would a bearing i pick up from say a bike shop be the same thing? because i dont like dealing with honda dealerships...

and if i was to leave it with 1/3 the bearings for a few days would it hurt anything?

I doubt it would be exactly the right size if you bought something at a bike shop, and may not be as durable, I don't know. If you don't want to deal with your local dealer you can order online

Should be able to buy a "strut top" or "strut rebuild" kit (can't rember the exact name) from parts stores, it's basicly a new top mount with new bearings and everything... least that's what I remember from working at pepboys few years back.
