Angry Suspension noise

Hey guys/gals,

I installed some eibach sport springs and tokico shocks. After I installed them, I notice that sometimes, when I am driving, I notice a sort of pop sound coming from the front tires. Not only pops, but also some click noises. I've ruled out cv joints because it doesn't happen when I turn my steering wheel.

I've noticed this especially when going on speed bumps and dip, as well as driving on less smooth roads.

Any ideas on this? I've had someone check to make sure everything's on tight, and still, nothing.

It's a bit scary to drive around like this. I'm ready to exchange this out and go back to stock!

well first off have the balljoints checked. and if those are fine then make sure your springs are seated properly on the struts perches and rubber pads are there.

most likely its your balljoints poping. i ran into that problem with my old jimmy after i lowered it the balljoints really started poping right after the drop. they where already close to going bad and the change in suspension just make them more noticable.

Cool. I just hit 104k a few months ago, so I'll be bringing my car in for service soon. I'll ask them about that.

Thanks for your help!

make sure they don't rip you off something like $600 to replace ball joints. ball joints are $20-$30 each, and if the shop is honest they won't charge more than $100 labor.

well not quite true... at least for quality balljoints.
the uppers for my old 94 civic was about 70bucks i think that was each tho i cannt remember exactly, i bought them from napa autoparts.
and the lowers i believe was like 60bucks each. also bought from napaautoparts store.

id rather pay for better quality balljoints than the cheapest place around!
the one weak @ss part store that was localy had them for only like 13bucks. i figured if it was that cheap it was definatly no good quality. and i myself want something thats gonna last!

and the upper control arms are really quick and easy to replace but the lower balljoints is a bit more in dept so would take a shop id estimate about 1.5hours to replace both lower balljoints.
just depends which one of your balljoints need replacing.

lol don't make fun of my autozone duralast ball joints. Lifetime warranty should mean something right? I don't expect for them to last 1000 years, but maybe they last for as long as I own it...
