Tire\Tyre Perfect Pressure for 205/45/16
It depends on your driving conditions and the weight balance in the car. For mostly tame daily driving, take a fat piece of chalk and mark across the tread, then roll the car a few yards and check the wear. Wear in the center means you need more air. Wear on the outer edges means you need less air. Even wear means you're about right in the ballpark. For best mileage, keep the pressure towards the high side of the evenly-wearing range.
For aggressive driving, you're probably going to want to up the pressure somewhere to just under the max PSI printed on the sidewall. This will keep the beads from peeling off the rim when considerable lateral forces are applied during hard cornering, keep the tires from spinning on the rims when braking or accelerating hard, and keep the tread more evenly planted during cornering. Do not exceed the max pressure printed on the sidewall and drop a few PSI if the tires seem to bounce too harshly over rough sections of pavement. Tune the pressure accordingly for other factors.
