So I finally got my rims mounted for good and took it to the car wash for a quick wash down and man those puppies are alot louder than stock. Is that normal?? It sure does look good though. That is the one thing that will make you fall in love with your car all over again!! Thanks for all the info guys and this is just the beginning!!!

 

Yeah, that's fine. They'll be a little bumpier too due to less of a sidewall. Enjoy em man.

 

i'm jealous... .i can't find any that I like... but yeah the noise when i do will take some getting used to.... not to mention replacing the tires more often.

 

I have already started a little tire savings deal. I had to get one tire replaced with another one and I priced some tires. Glad I got a job!!!![:-]

 

First I've heard of tire noise from changing the wheels and getting low profile tires.

What makes em noisier? Is it because of a more agressive tread pattern, or because the sidewall is smaller and stiffer?

 

Im guessing the tread pattern. I owned a Jeep before and got some 33's on it after stock and the sound was 10 times as loud. Kind of an extreme example but you get my point.

 

i know if u put the tires on backwards they will make more noise see if they are directional tires and if they were put on correctly

 

Only way I can see tires being noisy is if they have an agressive tread.......as in a M+S tire or snow tire.
