I love my TOYOs (Proxes 4's). IMO, they are the tire to beat. I also like me some Potenzas...

I used to like Pirelli, but my friend was driving his 240sx (with Pirellis) on the highway (like, 60 mph) and his right rear just arbitrarily blew out (tires had less than 15k on them). Anyway, he 180'd and went *** over teakettles into a ditch. Now I'm not such a huge fan of Pirellis...

meh.... the last pirellis i had werent too impressive. i liked my Kuhmos better than the pirellis. but i loved my Dunlop FM901s. they are a little soft, but if your alignment is good, theyll still last 15-20k. and DAMN are they sticky! i almost cant get them to slip, slide, or spin in my wifes 'Rolla, and in my car, i can barely get them to slide around a corner, unless im going *****-out. though i have no problems getting them to spin

im interested in those new ones. the MXs, those look pretty sweet. but anyway, the T1-S is a bad-*** tire. youll not be mad about that purchase. except the wear will be a little fast. but thats with any good tire.
the best of both worlds would probably be the goodyear eagle F1-D3. its expensive though, 15s go for upwards of 120 bucks apiece.
