if i were to get 16 or 17s for my car what would i be looking at for tires? i heard that low profile wear down fast and i might be changing them frequently

 

Low profile doesn't really have anything to do with treadwear. It depends on quality of the tire. I just got my new 16's from an online store and they give you options of what tires will fit that rim for your car so it pretty much does it for you so you can't mess it up. I would just do that if I were you. With 16' you can get a fairly bigger tire on it than larger rims which is a real plus if the roads around you are really bumpy/has a lot of pot holes.
