tuning shop quote rip or not???????

Exclamation tuning shop quote rip or not???????

just got of the phone with tuner shop and they quoted me $760.00 to install full progress coilovers, front and back progress swaybars for 2004 dx witch needs the adapter with endlinks,k sport front pillow ball mount, k sport rear alignment kit,and aftermarket compliance bushings .and $100.00 for the alignment .so is that a good deal or not??? and i already know it will be cheaper if i diy myself.

Its only a rip off if you can find another shop that will do it for cheaper. So my advice look around. *cough* do it yourself ***** *cough*(you will appreciate the learning experience trust me.

Wow. Really, was that needed? I thought we were supposed to give helpful advice, not name calling while attempting to help.

However, like JPNolan said, the price can vary per area and per shop. If there are any other shops around your area , or any you are willing to travel to, check them out. Have fun with the lowering!

$760 is a lot for labor and $100 for an alignment is expensive as well. Honda dealership will do an alignment for $60 for my car.

I don't see why you would need a new front swaybar if you're running coilovers. And I don't know if yours comes with a rear sway, but again, if it does, you don't need a new one.

If you're autox it, then you do whatever, but coilovers for daily driving are plenty more than enough.

04 dx no sways that was the first place i called its also the biggest and well known near me in connecticut .olso if i had the slightest idea about suspension i would do it myself but i choose not to put myself my passengers and everybody on the road around me in in danger and for that im a ***** well i can onley hope it would be you id crash into.

Do it yourself. It really isn't difficult. Take it from a moran who used a hammer and a scissor jack to install suspension on My04Civic's car...
