jk17s are my favorite
i have 205/40/16 and they guy that was selling me the tires said that i should get a 35 series. Now that would be a bumpy *** ride

^ Everyone in here that wants to just randomly pick a size wheel and tire listen up:
YOU CAN'T DO THAT! You have to first pick the rim you want, then pick the tire that will give you the same size diameter from tread to tread as the stock 185 65/14.
And for your original question... the only way a set if rims would make your gearing last long would be if you had the wrong size wheel/tire. DON'T DO THIS!
