Default "Vibrant Strut Bar"?

So I found what looks to be a pretty good deal on a somewhat no-name strut bar on autopartsway.ca (http://www.autopartsway.ca/acp/index...SC568~PT632248)

Just wondering if the brand really makes a huge difference, or if a somewhat no-name brand (like this one) will do fine as well.

Thanks.

Are you wanting a front or rear strut bar? or both?

Do you want it for looks? or strictly performance?

Do you want a cheap product? or pay for quality?

Do you auto-x or track the car? is the car lowered with any modification?

Have you considered a sway bar package which will be much more effective?

When it comes to strut bars, it's as strong as it's weakest point, meaning it's joints. All strut bars do is decrease torsional flex on a unibody with independent suspension.

1. Am looking at front strut bar, but will getting both be more worth it?
2. Want it more for performance, but of course I want to get one that looks pretty good too.
3. Cheap or Quality? Want best bang for buck, but not looking to pay too much (like nothing over $175-$200).
4. Auto-X or Track? Neither.
5. Lowered with mods? None yet. But looking to start gathering parts to do so.
6. Sway bar package? Havent thought of that yet. Seems like a strut bar would be easier to install too.

Yes, strut bars are easier to install, but for a reason, they do less, especially since you say it's on a factory suspension. If I were in your position, I would highly recommend a sway bar package (oem or aftermarket). It will do 100x more than a strut bar. A three point front strut bar will work better over a conventional strut bar considering it ties the strut points to a more solid and neutral mounting point like the firewall.

Here's a diy: http://team99ers.2.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=1487

The price of an oem sway bar depends on the seller, but you can get a used oem rear sway bar with endlinks and lower controls arms for probably under $100 and perhaps find a front bar for around the same price.

I have a vibrant strut tower bars they do the job, but 2point strut bar are all the same unless you get solid ones from password JDM and even then I'd buy the 3point anyways.
