water noise when braking
usually when i drive out of my block and into traffic for the first time i brake pretty hard (first hard brake) and i hear this water like noise in the back, its hard to describe, but then its gone after i brake a second or third time. So usually the first time after an extended time without braking.
it's not a creeking noise but i would describe it as a slight scratching and splashing.
thanks

RE: water noise when braking
hmm...well normally after leaving the car out like overnight, some surface rust will build up on the rotor and thats what causes a squealing noise when first braking a couple times. nothing to worry about. whens the last time u've had ur brake pads replaced?

RE: water noise when braking
never... 01 civic, i bought my car at 48,000 and now its 51,000 (bought it mid June) It was bone stock, so I doubt the previous owner knew anything about that.
once I had my parking brake on and i drove about 3 miles with it on...
good thing its nothing serious...
