Default what do spring rates mean?

i found 2 sets of lowering springs, one consist of a front spring rate of 240 and rear of 180, and other set is 280 front and 240 rear... so the question would be what dfference would i feel between these two? thanks.

The spring rate basically means how much weight it takes to compress a spring a certain amount. Basically, the higher the spring rate, the stiffer the spring. In other words, the second set of springs will be stiffer than the first set, and will allow less body roll during turns (at the expense of ride quality).

Do we know what the spring rate is for oem? So that the op and myself can get an idea of what the rates are in relation to our current setups?

^ I know I've seen them somewhere before... I'll do a little digging and see if I can't find them.

Thanks, I try. It probably helps that when I get bored I read up on different things (the latest topic has been aerodynamics lol)... it's just as entertaining as watching tv or something like that, plus you get to learn

And thanks... I love the mustang, but that's not going to stop me from selling it this spring to buy another EG... I'm aiming for a full inch lower than my old EG was, and my old EG was low. Like ridiculously low.
