what rims to buy...
ORIGINAL: civicexracer
no, not unless ur literally dumped to the ground, have tiny profile tires, and have major camber issues.
if u want ur speedo to read right, u need these sidewall aspect ratios:
15" wheel: 55
16" wheel: 45
17" wheel: 40
wether its a 15" wheel or a 17" wheel, i recommend getting a 205 section width. for 15's, ppl usually go with 195, but if u want better performance(and a meaner look IMO), then go with 205.
soo say u want a 15x7 wheel, the tire size i'd recommend/u need is 205/55R15.
im all for 15" wheels. lightweight, work well with the car since the old generation civics arnt large/bulky IMO, and alot of them can fit in just about anyones budgets.

with 17 inch rims wont the tires rub against the upper struts whenever i turn the wheel?

the ratio is dependent on the sectional width of the tire, so a 185 will read differently than a 205 even if they're both 50 series.
width=tire
6.0"=185
6.5"=195
7.0"=205
I'd rock 16's on an EK... because... I do roll on 16's.
But seriously, even though I tend to love 15's, they don't look right (IMO, no flaming) on an EK. I was going to buy some 15 in c8's from a friend to mount summer tires on, but I didn't like the look on the car.
16's+1.5-2.0 inch drop for the win.
