whats the difference between 1 or 2 bends in a short shifter? is there an advantage to either one?

 

Preference of where you want the shifter to be. 2 Bends will move it closer back like a normal shifter and a 1 bend [or a strait shifter] will be farther away from you, closer to the dash.

 

so say if you were really tall then you would want 2 bends? hahaha

 

No you would want 1 because it would be farther away and more comfortable for your long arms.

Depends, the stock shifter has 2 bends so if you like it where it is then buy a 2 bend short shifter and it should stay in about the same place. If you want it to be closer to the dash then the stock shifter then buy a 1 bend.

i have a B&m short shifter and its dual bend, it does not stay in the same place as the stock shifter its completely diff

 

Well of course it isn't going to be exactly the same or there wouldn't be a point it having it but the reach would be basically the same.
