I have a 99 Civic 4dr Ex and I am about to do my first transmission oil change. I already know where the fill and drain plugs are, but I need to know how many bottles of ATF do I need?

Hey thanks a lot trustdestruction, I already bought the Honda ATF, but just wondering why use Honda ATF....some people some other stuff like other brands. Is their any difference?

 

idk about ATF, but most honda fluids have additives that are different from other brands. for example, Honda power steering fluid has an additive that keep moisture out, whereas other brands don't have it.

basically, just use it because you know it works
