Ahh!! Help....
I had the clutch and flywheel installed today, and got the car back and there is still a bad bearing some where. The tranny guy said it was the "front transmission Bearing". I'm not sure what that is but he said it would cost $500 to fix!!!!. The problem I'm having is that when the clutch is released there is a noise like something rubbing or ticking. It only happens when the clutch is out. Someone please help,
Thanks,
Shane
Thanks,

ouch man i hate bad isb's......since the clutch has been replaced i imagine they replaced the throw out bearing also so that wouldnt be a prb. the isb(input shaft bearing) has ailed just about all my trannies. although they are simple to replace its rather time consuming and not for the begginer tranny experience. im not sure what it goes for to have them replaced but i only charge $300 parts and labor.
^ Do it, especially if your teacher is really experianced. Its a great learning experiance. I plan on doing all my own work so that i can learn as much as i can. Plus fixing your own car is half the fun.
Well, I want to do it at autoshop but I'm not sure if my parents will let me. Somehow i've managed to spend almost $1200 (clutch, flywheel, labor and now this) The sound it makes is like the sound when you put a baseball card in the bike spokes. Thats exactly what is sounds like.
