hey guys, when it comes to transmisions my brain pretty much goes crazy b/c i know very little about them. anyway, i need a new clutch for my crx, but soon i am going to go to the junkyard and find a tranny out of an integra so i can have the lsd. i currently have a b16a in my rex and was wondering what year teggy i should look for, and will the clutch i take out of it work w/ my motor? thanks in advance. -Jake

 

no integras came with lsd's stock in the us, maybe a few type r's but that is real rare.

anyway a clutch is an easy thing to replace it is just labor intensive. it took me 8 hours by myself to do it on jackstands with no help from anyone. just make sure you have an alignment tool to align the clutch plate (a clutch kit usualy come with them. and replace the throwout bearing.

 

Is it very much work to install your own clutch kit? sorry i dont know much at all about transmission either. Do you have to know very much to be able to do it or do you think that i could by myself and the right tools?

 

it is just a lot of labor to install one. you should get a manuel for your car to figure how to do it. a shop will charge about 500 for labor to do it
