The clutch in my 08 EX Coupe has always seemed to grab insanely high compared to other manual vehicles I have owned in the past. I know my ehicle has a hydraulic clutch in it. Are all or most of the new civics on the road like this, or is it bad and the trans need warranty repair. Honda techs tell me its fine, but I do not trust them. Please someone with knowledge on this please help.

 

Its fine.
When it catches too low that means your pressure plate is wearing down and you need a new clutch. At least that's what I've been told.

 

Yea all the new civics are like that. Really all the civics are kinda like that unless like GSR said your pressure plate is wearing out and your pedal is low. What otherr manual cars are you comparing it to?

 

I unfortunately only had older american cars to compare it against and I know thats not the best comparison, thus why I asked here...

 

That's a good thing... less footwork required to disengage/re-engage the clutch
