Default Auto or Manual

I have a 2003 honda civic EX (auto) with only 31k on it and I want to change it from an Auto to a Manual. I have a hard time trying to figure out how to get more horse power besides gettin a engine swap. I don't know what I should do?

I'm not sure what you are asking, i mean unless i am completely retarded, doing a tranny switch will not give you more horsepower. The only thing it will do in your situation is give you more control of your acceleration. As for more horsepower, there is plenty of aftermarket support for cars, especially honda.

well the trany is a huge part of planting that power to the ground....

id rather have a manual... but i got a auto so i dont have to shift gears early in the morning.LOL

tho id rather buy a manual than do a tranny swap out...... but im more for milage than HP.... but i would like to play around with the stick to have more fun when i want.LOL

ok i understand that the tranny is important to getting the power to the ground, but heres an example of what i mean. Say you have a 98 ex auto taht is stock and you get it converted to a manual tranny, would you honestly get any horsepower gains?

no, other than it feeling more powerful because the car responds instantly when pressing on the gas, there is no hp gain
