Default auto vs. manual 1/4 mile?

Does anyone know of the performance decrease or benefits of auto vs. manuals from a numbers or experience standpoint?

automatics will have more constant times than a manuel because they shift at the same time, but manuels can be a tad bit faster if you can launch the car better than a automatic

i know they would pwn an auto cuz autos suck but i wanted to know how much of an advantage do they have. not just a one time drag race experience but a controlled multi run test

Auto's arent that bad. At least "I" dont have to shift up and down constantly during rush hour traffic. There are advantages and weakenesses I guess. Like with a manual you can hold your car in higher rpm's for more torque and with a auto you cant(seems to be the only thing I dont like about not having a manual civic)

Both will have similair times, but it takes mor skill with a manual. On the other hand, autos will be more consistent.

But, if you're boosted, then an auto would be waaaaaay faster because you only spool the turbo once (although you get a little more lag). I know this from personal experience so don't anybody bust my nuts.
