[:@] Hey all. New here. 00 ex 2dr. I put on a B&M shifter about 10 months ago and it was fine up until about 3 months ago. Now in 5th it makes a rattling noise like the shift linkage bars are rubbing slightly. Wondeing if anyone has had any prob with this shifter? And if so what cure have you found? Thanks

 

Hey all, those of you who are interested to know. I fixed my shifter prob. Here is a little FYI. I bought B&M shifter also installed is the bushing kit from prothane. Anyway, I dropped the exhaust which is stock for now and right below the shifter is a heat sheild on the exhaust. I took a hammer and beat the living &%$#@ out of it and viola! No more noise. Just wanted to post another incase if any one else came across this same prob. I also have a friend of mine with the same yr and model and same shifter etc. the same prob occured. now both are fixed.
