clutch resistance changes
hey folks
first time poster, long time lurker....
i have a 94 lx special 5 spd. tip top shape. only 93K on it. i just recently had the tranny fluid done about 6 weeks ago. i've been noticing this week that, when starting up cold, the clutch needs to be depressed about 70% of the way before there is any resistance. likewise coming off - you only need to let it out a bit before it goes. however, after a bit of a drive, it returns to "normal" - i get resistance almost immediately when depressing it. any ideas as to what my issue is?

it was mr lube, and they used the proper motor oil for the tranny.
drove the car north on friday, it sat all w/e, then yesterday i went to start it and the clutch basically went to the floor with no resistance, stayed there, then popped back up. wouldn't get into/out of gear. thought i was euchred. the marina mechanic had a peek and we noticed the brake slave cylinder was down about 2cm, exposing an intake hose that was just sucking air when the clutch was depressed. we added some brake fluid, pumped the clutch, which resulted in a couple air bubbles in the slave - but did allow the clutch to regain some pressure. i ended up driving home with no issues. clutch felt fantastic. this am, it was a little soft again, but by the time i got to work it felt fine. has to bea small, slow leak somewhere in the brake fluid line(s). never see anything in the driveway. i'll keep an eye on the fluid for a week or so to see what happens before i take it in. at least i got to bring it home - didn't want to leave it to some dealer in northern ontario!
