My tranny has recently started grinding 3rd gear and sometimes 2nd when im over 7000rpm and in boost. A local shop told me that it would be much cheaper to get a non-lsd tranny from them than to change the syncros. They said 230 for a low mileage d16z6 guaranteed not to grind and then add a better aftermarket LSD. Now I'm wondering do these trannys have the same gear ratios? What tranny would be the most similar to mine or better and why?

I think they're the same but the D15B has the LSD. Pretty sure that the OEM Honda LSD isn't bad, and you'd have to spend quite a bit to get one better than an OBX.
