Default Flywheeel Resurfacing

I would like to upgrade my stock clutch to a stage 1 clutch but i would also like to upgrade my flwheel so its lighter. I was reading all the posts and I havent found an answer to this question yet. Is shaving the flywheel the same as resurfacing it. Also is it cheaper to shave or resurface my flywheel, or would it be better to just staright out purchase a new lighter flywheel.

do not lighten a flywheel. resurfacing basically is like cutting rotors, but a lot more precise.

a shaved flywheel is 99% likly to explode in your car.

either resurface or get a lighter one.

Every honda I have ever owned had the stock flywheel shaved/lightened. I have never had a problem with it at all.
