gearbox swap

Default gearbox swap

I wondered if any one could tell me if a gearbox from an '88 1.4 civic would go into a 92 1.5 lsi civic. both are d series engines +3rd gear is nackerd on the 92 civic+i have a crashed 88 civic with a crisp box. this also goes for the clutch to.

yes, d series engines bolt up to d series trannies. but, splines are different on different years. same with flywheel and clutch. i'm sure someone out there has a list of what will work. if not, you can swap flywheel and clutch to make it fit.
