so if you have a 88 hatch you can use a 89-91 trans, but you need to use the coresponding clutch for the trans your using. so a 89-91 si trans uses a 89-91 flywheel and a 89-91 clutch.

but if you have a 88 si tran you need a 88 si flywheel and a 88 si clutch

not nessesary si stuff but corresponing to the year

figure i would just make this tread it since it had some info on it already....

well..i went to pick a part with some buddies and started my search for an SI or DX tranny.....and....well plenty of cars to pick from..started looking arround found an 88 but it had an autotranny...so we finally got to the end of the imports and we se this god awful 4 door with a huge muffler and 3 shaved door handels.....primer grey...take a look at the engine...nothing there...but a dx tranny laying on the ground with the clutch preasure plate and flywheel attached.....left the clutch and pressure plate but snagged the flywheel...got the flywheel and tranny for $91!...and pocketed a benz emblem....

Also won a 88-89 integra ecu for the zc swap....things are looking good...

my question is should i replace the flywheel...im going to replace the clutch set but i dont know if i should replace the flywheel...If i did i would probalby go exedy on everything...is that a good brand?

let me know.

STOKED!~

great deal. Get the flywheel resurfaced at a machine shop! It's important...
