HEY GUYS IN NEED OF SOME HELP
i have a 2000 civic hacthback dx model and i have had this ticking noise
coming from the right hand passenger side my tech has had my car 4 almost 3 weeks now and went inside the motor and out and cant find a thing wrong he hears the noise,but finally i think it's the tranny and he agree's with me he will take apart the tranny and he said i might need a new tranny so MY QUESTION IS CAN I PUT JUST ABOUT ANY TRANNY ON MY RIDE LIKE AN ACURA GSR TRANNY AS LONG AS IT IS A HYDRAULIC 1 OR DO I NEED TO ONLY PUT ON A HONDA TRANNY IKNOW IT WILL COST ALOT BUT AT LEAST I CAN GET UR UYS OPINION ON WHAT SHOULD I DO ANY HELP IS THE BEST HELP OH BY THE WAY I HAVE A D17Y8 MOTOR IF THAT HELPS

 

is it stick or auto?

 

You can get any sohc tranny that is hydro...no gsr tranny...b series trannys will not fit your D...only anotherD tranny
