How can I tell if my transmission has an LSD or not in it without it being in the car? My new Transmission is currently sitting on my garage floor and I have no clue what I am looking at!!! As far as I can tell by the markings on it, it is a S80. I have searched and found that some of the S80 tranny's have an LSD and I would love to know if I could find out. Look through the axle hole. If you can see all the way through with nothing in the way, it has an LSD. If there's a little thing sticking down, it doesn't.

NOTE: I may have gotten those backwards, but I don't think so.
