An input shaft bearing is not something that usually goes out. As riceburner said, check your throwout bearing and pilot bearing first.
The input shaft bearing is not that hard to do. You will want to get a manual before you start. There are a few bolts that need to be removed before others. If you are going to be going that far, you would be smart to replace or at least check your clutch assemble. Throw out bearing/pilot bearing/plate and disc. (Good time to upgrade too)
