Default Lower sitting shorty?

I'm going to order a short shifter in like a week or two. I've got about 1k cash sitting next to me right now, spending a lot on parts for random stuff and the rest on rims when I find some.

So for a short shifter I want one that sits low. I've looked at pics of different setups and to me it looks like B&M sits the lowest. Whether I am getting dual or single bend I really don't care, I'll probably just get dual since I've never used a dual before so it is worth a try. Other ones I've looked at is the Buddy Club and Blox, but right now I am leaning towards B&M. So post up your setups and how you like em, help me make a decision where my business goes.

I just installed a new shifter myself, actually went with the B&M dual bend. It is a very solid shifter I must say. Very heavy duty. I've only had it in my car for a few days and I haven't driven much but so far it feels great. It does sit lower than the previous shifter that I had but I think because of the dual bend design, it still sits within comfortable reach for shifting. I love it, I highly recommend it.

I just snapped a shot so you can get a better idea of what it looks like. Oh and I also highly suggest the Karcepts shift **** shown in the picture . Check out the Karcepts website found in my signature.

I had a cheap $20 aluminum single bend shifter from pep boys for about 4 years. It finally broke at the last autox event when shifting into 2nd. It broke right at the base of the shift **** threads. Only reason this happened is because I used a 3inch shifter extension and that adds more strain on the tip of the shifter. I'd say I got my money's worth. I actually re-threaded the tip of the shifter and installed it on my '99 Civic EX. I don't race that car and I'm not using the extension anymore so I'm not worried about it breaking...

Cool beans, I think that's what I am going to go with. I've got Skunk2 **** I'll just throw on there, nice and heavy weight to it.

I've got the B&M straight shifter, the one with the spherical bearing. You can get it without the spherical bearing too though for like $50. It's like $130 on amazon for the one with the bearing. I love it. It's nice and short and the spherical bearing is ****.
