Default Lowered Geared Trans For A D16Y8

I am wanting a transmission for my 99 Civic Ex (D16Y8). Something that is geared lower to run better in an 1/8th mile but good for daily driving as well. What kinda of transmission would fit my needs.
thanks,
Jesse

the z6 tranny "might" be lower gearing by a little bit than the y8 tranny

^ It's not. Y8 is the lowest manual.

5th gen si will have a shorter 5th than the y8 tranny........really your only option is to go custom. theres no stock honda transmission available to you with a close gearset aside the pbd1 dohc zc tranny. but it has a taller final drive. you could take the y8 1-2 as well as final drive and couple it with the dohc zc 3-5 for a close 2-3 shift.
