generally, which one lasts longer?
and which one is cheaper to fix? (not the clutch, but the transmission itself)

i say it depends on the driver in both... how many ricers are out there with auto's that drive it like a manual and shift through the gears and neutral drop, ect ect

well, how about a really good driver on the stick, and the auto also
which would last longer?

you are asking a ritorical question. with an answer that cannot be given. both would last a friggin hell of a long time. if you are debating on getting an Manual or Auto then go Manual. much more fun to drive and you can control the power more
