my clutch went out on 93 hatch a regular mechanic wants to charge me 300dls,is that good or is it to much, i bought my own clutch he only charging me labor

 

$300 is pretty good for changing a clutch, so i'd go with it

 

Yeah, you have to remove the transmission without breaking anything. That's takes a while if you aren't used to doing it and/or if you don't have a lift.

300 is a decent price.

I got mine replaced for 160 (parts and labor)

 

you paid $50 for labour? most clutch kits are like $100-120 i do believe.

 

my mechanic is pretty cheap, he knows whats up with everything...he has a yellow crx with black rims like me as well. Only been there twice but i might have him put my engine in if i dont do it myself.

 

so you charged yourself 50 bucks lol jk jk. i just bought my clutch for 120 and gunna replace it this weekend but i thought it was like 500 to 800 bucks or sumthin when i got it quoted from honda tho. idk but sounds like it would save you a headeache lol.

 

the clutch kits are like 100-130. but i got mine done with parts and labor for 400 cuz i dont wanna mess with takin all of the stuff out, and i dont have a lift so its that much harder.
