I have a 1993 Honda Civic Ex with a 1996 D-series engine. My automatic transmission just went out, and I need to find a salvaged transmission soon. Does anyone know for a fact what type of auto trans I need to be looking for? My trans computer is the same year as the car (1993), and I was told that the trans needs to match up with the computer.

What automatic transmission (year?) would be compatible with a 1996 D-series engine and a 1993 computer???

I bought a transmission off of ebay for about $225, it was 75 for the tranny and 150 for shipping
it was supposedly off a car with less than 50k miles and the dealer offered a 60 day warranty...
there were lots of them when i was looking
