Default rappy CV joint.

I just got a 94 civic that I plan on racing in an enduro for the rest of the year.
I was getting a feel for the car today in an empty parking lot and my pasenger side CV joint got noisy when I turned right moastly. Not to loud, but as a mechanic I noticed it.

I know nuttin about these forien cars...

how hard is it to swap out one of them CV joints. and how much $$$ does it cost. Im trying to decide if I should replace it ahead of time or run er till she blows.

Keep in mind this car was a freebie pos rusted out car, nothing special.

If your CV joint is making noise you will prolly need to get a new axle b/c the joint is prolly no good. Its about $75 for a new OE axle at AutoZone. Since you plan on racing you might want some better axles though. The axle job isn't that hard.

thanks guys.

the type of racing im doing with it is basicly a demo derby but going around in circles. High speeds or high hp arent as much of a factor as trying to to smash into the wall.
