I really want one, but not sure what to get. I have no upgrades and don't plan on doing anything substantial to the car (99 civic sedan with a y7). i've looked around, and it seems like one of these should be fine...

correct me if i'm wrong, but the dual bend just sits farther back right? Anything else i should be aware of?

Dual bends seem to generally have a slightly shorter throw than their single bend counterparts of the same brand.

or a Skunk2 dual bend short shifter with a weighted skunk2 shift ****. That's what I have at least.

 

i was looking at that one, but the skunk2 is twice as much.....I'm willing to pay that, but do you think i'd be able to tell a difference between quality, etc.?

Does it really matter that much which i choose as long as it's brand name?

 

I'd say most brands are pretty similar. Ive had an ebay on that came on a car, and a Skunk2 duel bend. Both felt almost the same with Skunk2 being slightly smoother and felt a little better made.

 

Hey superfly, if you are interested, I'll sell you my Skunk2 single bend shifter. I have the weighted shift **** as well, but I'm thinking about keeping that.
