Just wanted to know if anybody could help me out. I have not been able to find a solution to my problem. I started hearing a tapping sound when sitting at idle and a roaring noise when downshifting mainly into second gear, and since I work in a garage all of the mechanics first told me it could be an engine tap, my timing belt tapping the cover, or a throw-out bearing. Well they all said it was my throw-out bearing. So I replaced my clutch figuring I was in there anyways, including all of the external bearings without going into the tranny. Well the noise has gotten louder, and now I'm told it's in the transmission. The noise is now pretty apparent even slowing at a 5 mph roll with it in gear with the clutch in, and the roaring has gotten louder too. If anybody can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
