Transmission Flush?
I've been looking forever on how to change the transmission fluid in a 95 ex manual trans. I've asked around but seems like no one really changes their transmission fluid. I want to change mine, any DIY's on how to change a manual transmission fluid?
Thanks.
Thanks.
theres a plug on the passengers side of the tranny, its not a bolt, but you stick a 3/8 ratchet straight into it to loosen it (no socket). then once its drained, close it back up and pour 2 quarts of 10w-40 in through the 17mm bolt-hole above that, near the top of the rear of the trans.
Guys, pictures would really help. I'm not big on cars, I just don't want to pay $80 so I thought I come here to ask for help. I sort of understand what you mean sacicons but I don't think I will be able to locate what you just said.....

Hey, thanks for thetips guys. I just finished it today. Minus the trip to the dealer for the syncro mesh ($13 a quart) it was a very quick job. The bolt that is the filler hole is hard to miss its a 17mm bolt that is below and alittle to the right of the fuel filter. I put in 2 quarts and a few seconds later it started pouring out. Tightened everything up and took her for a spin. It actually made the tranny feel smoother. Not a bad job. Best part no filter to replace.
