So i need to replace my transmission on my 94 civic lx (with 95 vtech engine) and my boy told me that i could swap it out for any 92-2000 ex transmission... is that true... also, i forgot where i bought my other tranny bc it was about 3 years ago so i wanted to ask, does anyone know where i can get a tranny with low milage... im in the NJ area but im willing to buy imported tranny's... anyone, please help...

 

all D series trannies bolt up to all D series tranniers, so its not just EX, it just has to be for a D series. You can probably find stuff on ebay, or search the Honda-Tech, HondaCivicForum (here), or ClubCivic Privated Classifieds sections, stuff always pops up.

 

not true. D17 tranny will not work.

 

you need a 92-00 ex transmission, look on ebay and d-series.org
