You're gonna have to do some tutorials because you just can't explain it. I'm working in photoshop right now actually. retouching a family photo. up in the top menu bar under "Help", there should be drop down links on how-to tutorials and info sections. try there first. and if that doesn't work, go to a bookstore and buy a tutorial book (one with lots of pictures are best). 2000 LoW reD Si 12-18-2005, 01:31 AM Thank you!! I didnt even realize there were tutorials. Ill go check that out cause I gotta learn this stuff. drbyers 12-18-2005, 01:41 AM actually. you can find free tutorials online, but they're usually painstaking since you have to look at them first on your web browser and then switch to photoshop. it's a pain in the ass to say the least... books rool. but if you're a glutton for pain: http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials.htm mxs 12-18-2005, 09:31 AM Yeah, that's a pretty wide open question.;) What is it that you're looking to learn? If you're planning on really getting into it, and you want to pick up a book, I suggest the Visual QuickStart Guides from Peach Pit Press. 2000 LoW reD Si 12-18-2005, 12:58 PM Basically just the basic tools, how to edit pics. I dunno, I really was just messing with it and not really getting anywhere. I checked out the help guide thats on top. Thanks for the advice! :) shellebelle 12-18-2005, 03:12 PM I took a few classes to get started on it. The first class used the Adobe Classroom in a Book series, which I liked as they have the tutorial CD and only cover one topic per chapter. The Visual Quickstart guides are great, I have them for Quark and InDesign and they've always answered my questions. I don't know how good the PS one is though. Once you get started you learn more by just screwing around with it. Illustrator is the same way. x2100 12-19-2005, 11:13 PM I learned a few tricks and tips from this site: Tutorialoutpost (http://www.tutorialoutpost.com/) I've played around with Photoshop a little, and it can be very time comsuming. It took me a few hours to finish my little signature picture, but it's fun and rewarding once you know how to do it. drbyers 12-19-2005, 11:30 PM i actually hate photoshop now. i prefer illustrator, but it can't do all the things photoshop can do. |
