Engine & Internal - rebuilding my engine and need some help

ok so my car is a 88 civic and i want to rebuild the engine are there any books, movies or websites any can recommend to help guide me through this

What motor is it? It may not be worth the hassle.

I'm going to buy a second hand civic engine and manual gear box to rebuild i know it would be easier to just buy a new engine and gear box but i want to rebuild one just so i really knows how it all works and what every thing looks like also if i put all this time and money in to it i might treat it with a bit more respect and not trash it as much.

You can get a book for your car which in detail explains how to rebuild your engine. www.advanceautoparts.com (http://www.advanceautoparts.com) May have to go through a couple page's but it is a nation wide part store with the book I was telln you about.

It has tons and tons of info, if you go to youtube and search engine build there are lots of trailers. A definite buy for anyone starting on their first engine build.
