Default Replacing/Rebuilding HX engine

96 HX w/ 240,000 on it.

Engine runs strong now but has a oil seal leak somewhere - about two quarter size drops overnight.

Looking down the road, I know I can't get a new or even rebuilt HX engine from Honda - they don't have them. And I really don't want to swap something else in, unless its going to pull the 40mpg on regular gas that this thing gets right now.

So are there shops out there that will be able to rebuild the HX engine, since its not too common? I doubt I could find a junkyard HX engine...Prices, if a rebuild is possible? Any ideas for the future of my Honda engine?

Thanks!

I guess any shop dealing with hondas will be able to help you. And from what you are telling you don't need a rebuild, you need a seal replacement. While definitely not cheap, this job is no match to rebuild, though...
