Has anyone here capped off the holes in the stock intake tube that go to the resonator box? I have my engine taken apart and i'm waiting on my alternator to get back to me, cuz it rusted together in every possible way. internally and externally. I was thinking of doing this cuz i did it on my 98 GMC Sierra 4.3L a while back and i noticed a gain from it. I know an OHV V6 truck engine and a SOHC Civic engine are not the same but i was wondering if there is a point to doing so.

 

So no one has done this? I guess I will be the first. it should be good for a louder intake sound and a little better throttle response.
