i have a b-series motor and my stock black valve cover looks like it has seen better days. i wanna paint it red and wanna keep it like it is(the way it feels like all bumby)i dunno how to describe it really but im sure anyone who has a b-series motor knos what im taling about any tips would be great

 

First off, you're going to have to sand the sheet out of it to make it come out nice. Once you're done with that, lay down a couple base coats then, do a final coat but spray from far away, the pait will start to dry and it'll be all bumpy when it hits the valve cover. This is how I did mine and it came out just like OEM. Oh, and use flat red, not gloss.
